DECIDE THE NEXT PODCAST EPISODES

I had brunch with an entrepreneur friend of mine this week and wanted her honest feedback on my new podcast; Life On Your Terms.

1. Feedback on what topics she'd want to hear, and

2. how to increase listenership.

She had the brilliant idea to ask you, the listeners and readers, what YOU want to hear on future podcasts.

So I'm starting this email to you with a request: can you please HIT REPLY and tell me:

What 2-3 topics are you most interested in hearing right now?

  • Entrepreneurship, business growth, Founder life
  • Parenting, motherhood, kids
  • Peak performance habits, success practices
  • Living abroad, location independence, digital nomad
  • Personal growth, spiritual growth, philosophy
  • Health, the body, physical wellbeing
  • Anything else not listed?!

What specific challenges/problems would love for me to address? (What questions have you googled recently?! Is a good place to start)

List your specific ideas for podcast episodes here.

A MARRIAGE STRUGGLE

Thank you for being honest in your feedback and suggestions, let me reciprocate some honesty back to you...

This past week I had two back-to-back coaching calls with my coach, Marie, about a challenging dynamic in my marriage.

A dynamic going on for months that I couldn't figure out how to get myself out.

My typical pattern is to just "figure it out myself". But without help, I admit that I was blind.

In relationships, we can

  • get lost focusing on what the other person does or doesn't do.
  • get caught in the problem.
  • catastrophize the situation saying "there's nothing else I can do."

Luckily my coach is incredible. And the coaching focused 100% on my dynamics and patterns that were working against me.

Forget my husband's part in it: What was I doing? What was MY role in it? Who am I being when these situations happen?

I admit that it took a little bit for me to say FINE, I can't change him, so I've got to change myself.

FINE, I'm gonna take a hard look at myself and all the ways I'm being that feeding this situation.

FINE, I'll own my half!!

But trust me when I owned my half -- BOOM, I also took all of my power back.

When I decided that I will slam the breaks on a few patterns I was trapped in, this week I had:

  • more energy
  • more calm
  • more clarity
  • more perspective
  • more drive

What was my action step?

I disengaged. I simply observed and witnessed. I stopped interfering.

I stopped "should"ing on him. I stopped always asking him questions. I stopped trying to rescue or be a peacemaker.

All of these things were within my power.

As I did it, I realized that disengaging wasn't about avoiding or running away from the problem, but it was an active, spiritual practice brimming with rich action steps and information.

Disengaging became a powerful first step for me.

There was nothing "small" about it.

THE QUEEN OF COACHING

Truthfully though, as much of a queen of coaching I feel I am, I believe Marcia Reynolds when she said, "we cannot coach ourselves."

I would have been blind to the deeper patterns I was running. I needed help to see.

This is why I have monthly coaching calls for myself. It's like a health checkup for my soul. Where all my biggest dreams and goals can come rushing into my life; the more I change and grow myself.

if you want a coach in your life, for the good, the tough, and everything in between as you aim at your absolute best life, I'd love to be that person for you.

Let's make Quarter 4 and the sprint into 2024 YOUR BEST YET.
